Design Build Search is working with one of the one of the worlds leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.
They are currently seeking an Aviation Client Director in their Dublin Office.
The role includes a blended location with time in our client office and our Dublin office with some home working also potentially available.
The successful candidate will lead teams of project managers to deliver work on variety of building and site development projects across the aviation sector.
Requirements: Experience working with international clients in delivering aviation infrastructure projects, with strong consultancy operational experience.
Proven ability to build and grow a potential client network and of identifying early stage opportunities.
Track record in winning, managing or developing small and large international projects or programmes of projects to time and budget in various countries.
Specific experience winning, managing, or developing aviation projects or programmes.
Outstanding consulting skills including structured thinking, report writing and stakeholder communication.
Strong project financial management skills.
Understanding of risk management.
Influencer, with a network of contacts that can support the identification, the development and delivery of work.
Leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
Self-motivated, with the initiative and resilience to support the growth of our business and Openness to frequent international travel.
The Individual: Chartered Engineer/Architect/ Project Manager or equivalent with experience managing design commissions on large infrastructure projects.
Experience in a design consultancy office managing design teams is essential.
Experience in Client facing leading roles in delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience across a range of building and site development construction projects.
Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills both verbal and written.
A hard working and flexible individual, who is a team player, possesses great attention to detail, is reliable, proactive and shows initiative whilst able to keep cool under pressure and when working to often demanding deadlines.
Ability to manage and motivate a team and demonstrate good leadership qualities.
Understands and has experience in deploying various forms of construction contract, in particular NEC3.
Experienced at preparing Scope Definition papers, Project Execution Plans, Risk Registers, Change Control Logs and Client & Stakeholder Management plans.
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a larger multi-discipline team.
Familiar with BIM and understands the use of CDE for design and coordination purposes.
A high expectation of performance for themselves and other members of the team.
Customer focused with excellent client relationship management skills.
A supportive and encouraging approach to mentoring less experienced members of the team.
Ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with clients.
