Design Engineer – Building & Infrastructure

TOBIN has an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer to join our Building & Infrastructure Division, specifically working within the sub-division of Health, Safety and Technical Advisory Services.
This role can be based in any of our office locations (Limerick, Galway, Sligo, Dublin, Castlebar) on a hybrid working arrangement.
Duties and Responsibilities: Manage Design teams including external consultants; to deliver designs and tender documents.Review documents and designs prepared by Graduate Engineers and other consultants.Preparation and review of preliminary designs and reports using a variety of computer packages and subsequent preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications.With the assistance of our Project Managers, prepare tender documents and complete tender assessments.With the assistance of our Project Managers, Administration of construction contracts to ensure that design requirements, project schedules and project budget are achieved.Take instruction from their Line Manager (and where appropriate the relevant Project Manager and senior members of the project teams).The Skills Required of a Design Engineer: Ideally, 1-3 years' experience in a similar role.Excellent written and verbal (English) communication and interpersonal communication skills.Proficient in the use of AutoCAD 2D.Capability to develop skills in the use of other software packages such as MicroDrainage, Microsoft Access, and GIS software packages such as ArcGIS and MapInfo.Working knowledge of construction contracts such as the PWMF Forms of Contract, Irish Building Regulations, BCAR etc.Additional Requirements: Full Driver's Licence.Preferably worked in the Irish Construction Industry.If you feel that this opportunity is something you may be interested in and would like an opportunity to discuss the matter further, please forward your CV to ******.
