Design Engineer Cng & Biogas

Overview: Our client is hiring for Design Engineer that will play a crucial role in designing biogas and renewable gas connections, both internally and through outsourced engineering service providers.
The successful candidate will manage design risks, deliver high-quality design services, and contribute to the alignment and efficiency of the Design Delivery process.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver the preliminary and detailed designs for biogas and renewable gas connections to GNIs network.
Manage design risks and ensure compliance with gas standards, proximity assessments, hazardous area calculations, and other relevant safety requirements.
Coordinate outsourced engineering services providers (ESPs) and offer technical oversight, ensuring design reviews are accurate, and residual design risks are addressed.
Lead the design process using first principles and leverage internal and external technical specialists to execute capital connection designs.
Support the hybrid design model to scale design capacity and meet renewable gas connection timelines.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives in design processes, including the development of procedures and materials guidance for ESPs.
Key Skills & Experience: A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Process, Mechatronics, Electrical, C&I, or related discipline) is required.
At least 3 years of post-graduation experience in an engineering role is essential.
Prior experience in natural gas, process industries, or utilities is preferred, though candidates with strong technical competence will also be considered.
A deep understanding of the engineering design process, process safety, and relevant safety regulations.
Knowledge of Functional Safety is advantageous, though training will be provided.
