Design Lead - Manufacturing

Position: Design Lead - Manufacturing Location: Cork Salary: Neg DOE Design Lead Responsibilities:Liaise with relevant departments in the company to ensure all designs are achievable and cost effectiveLiaising with the client and keeping them up to date on projectsPrepare Drawings using CAD, Revit and BIM TechnologyProvide advice on the management of projects and design implicationsDealing with and responding to emailsCreate high-quality detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied by architects and designers and make modifications to existing drawingsEnsure that drawings and designs meet client standardsAbility to work on own initiative and provide innovative solutions to design issuesProvide accurate, detailed and to scale drawingsEnsure drawings are compliant with industry and health and safety standards and protocolsStrong knowledge of materials and engineering principles to check feasibility of manufacture and construction of the productPresent working drawings for use in all stages of the project, tender, manufacture/construction and installationProduce installation and manufacturing documentationMaintain accurate recordsDesign Lead Requirements:Relevant QualificationSupervisory experience in a similar roleExperience with BIM is desirable but not essentialMinimum of 5 years experience with production designGood IT Skills (Data entry)Team Player with excellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work on own initiative and as part of a team
