Our client, a specialised Roofing & Cladding company based in Co. Kerry, is seeking an experienced Design Manager to oversee the design and delivery of high-quality roofing and cladding projects.
In this full-time role with a remote working option for the right candidate.
You will manage the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring that all projects meet client requirements, adhere to industry standards, and are delivered on time and within budget.
  Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the design process for roofing and cladding projects, ensuring all designs are accurate, compliant, and aligned with client expectations.
Collaborate closely with clients , understanding their vision and requirements, and translating them into practical, compliant design solutions.
Coordinate and mentor design teams , providing leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to ensure seamless project execution.
Review and approve project designs , ensuring they meet safety regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
Manage design budgets and timelines , ensuring that projects are completed within agreed parameters without compromising quality.
Work closely with other departments, including construction, procurement, and project management, to ensure smooth project coordination and delivery.
Use architectural design tools such as Revit and BIM to produce and review project designs and documentation.
Ensure all projects are compliant with health and safety regulations and best practices in the industry.
Stay updated with the latest developments in roofing, cladding, and design technologies to bring innovation and efficiency to the role.
Qualifications: Proven experience in design management within the roofing and cladding sector (preferred but not essential).
Proficiency in architectural design software , particularly Revit and BIM, with the ability to produce and review technical drawings.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team of designers and liaise effectively with clients.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , ensuring clear collaboration between clients, teams, and departments.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously , ensuring they meet deadlines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to navigate the complexities of design and project delivery.
Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field .
Professional certifications in design management or a related area are an advantage.
