Purpose of the Role: The Ardonagh Analytics Lab is an exciting new operation established by The Ardonagh Group in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.
The Analytics Lab is responsible for delivering data-driven insights to Ardonagh's clients across the globe and helping its 10,000+ colleagues offer tailored solutions across a diverse range of insurance products and related services.The Analytics Lab is focused entirely on improved outcomes for every participant in the value chain; forensically investigating Ardonagh's pool of data to build an improved understanding of risk, examining possible future outcomes and working with clients and insurer partners in preparation for the unknown.The Dev Ops and Release Management Engineer will be a key member of the team with responsibility for ensuring infrastructure and product solutions are deployed with scalability and reliability.The role holder will focus on helping our teams manage DevOps and continuous improvement in cloud environments.Key Role Accountabilities:Support and build continuous integration and release management activities on Microsoft Azure / Fabric.Work with third-party support teams to deliver resources and robust cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure / Fabric.Continuously enhance software development infrastructure, including continuous integration and delivery of databases, cloud services, systems, and monitoring.Maintain Citrix environments with the latest software releases and perform testing.Manage Azure DevOps projects, repositories, agents etc.
on a day-to-day basis.Collaborate closely with third-party support teams to resolve issues and ensure seamless system integration.Understand and manage pipelines, ensuring the interconnection of different systems for continuous integration and delivery.Participate in the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale DevOps practices and solutions.Automate tasks using PowerShell or Microsoft Flows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.Provide governance and control of development and testing environments.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems.Experience in MS Azure (essential) MS Fabric (preferred)and Data Warehousing environments.Experience in data management frameworks; Data Quality Profiling, Metadata Management, Master Data Management, cleansing/standardising, analysing.
Strong command of relevant programming/scripting languages: e.g., Java, Scala, Python, R.Experience with C# (debugging/compiling), PowerShell, and Terraform.Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code development (ARM).Knowledge of Power Apps is desirable.Knowledge of Rule-Based Access Control (RBAC) controls.Knowledge of DevOps philosophies and toolchains such as continuous integration, testing, and delivery.Ability to understand and interpret business needs and how they translate to technical and functional requirementsPerson Specification:Experienced and independent subject matter expert, capable of working on own initiative whilst delivering best practice solutions that deliver the strategic objectives.Strong relationship builder and capable of credibly managing internal and external executive stakeholders.#LI-SB1
