We also develop the artistic talents of others through our workshops and thriving music school.
Steeped in Irish history, The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre's unique and intimate performance space is regarded as 'A hidden Gem' in the Irish culture scene, allowing for a full experience of shows while maintaining the historic culture and delivery of traditional folklore and storytelling.
A vibrant cultural hub of visual and performance art, education, and more, TSEAC is a charity organisation owned and funded by Fingal County Council, receiving additional support from the Arts Council of Ireland and donations from our members, friends, patrons, and visitors.
The Board of the Séamus Ennis Arts Centre invites applications for Maternity Cover for the position of Director. The Director will report directly to the Board of Management of the Centre.
The position involves the management of all aspects of the Centre, including planning and programming, managing budgets and finances, and staff matters.
The Director will also develop future plans and identify new funding sources.
The Arts include drama, music, theatre, cinema, concerts, poetry, literature, visual arts, crafts, educational outreach, cultural events, and festivals, with an emphasis on the Traditional Arts.
The position is offered on a temporary contract to cover the current Director's maternity leave.
It is an essential requirement that the post holder holds a full clean driving licence and has access to a car.
The Position The Director will be accountable for the following:Overall performance, management, and day-to-day running of the Séamus Ennis Arts Centre.Lead on the delivery of the strategic plan for 2024-2028.Manage the annual budget effectively and efficiently.Ensure sustainability by securing funding and sponsorship for future events.Report to the Board on performance against the Strategic Plan, annual business plan, and budget.Work with the Board, partners, and stakeholders on relevant issues.Leadership and management of the Centre's staff.Meet development targets as agreed with the Board.Promote the Séamus Ennis Arts Centre among partners, funders, and relevant bodies.The Director shall furthermore be responsible for: Devising, developing, and implementing multi-disciplinary artistic programmes within the agreed budget.Ensuring the Centre is maintained in a fit condition and that cleanliness and repair standards are upheld.Maintaining up-to-date Insurance cover and Licences.Complying with all employment legislation and regulations.Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation.Maintaining high ticket sales and identifying new funding sources.Representing and promoting the Centre locally, nationally, and internationally.Developing links with relevant organisations to expand the Centre's role and audience.Collaborating with other cultural organisations, including the Arts Council of Ireland.Developing innovative marketing and promotional strategies.Expanding the audience database and driving ticket sales.The role requires the following attributes and skills: Strong understanding and experience of the traditional arts and folk music landscape.Leadership, people management, and motivational skills.Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing, and networking skills.Ability to develop sustainable relationships with key stakeholders.Strong commercial acumen and sound business judgement.Ability to lead and manage diverse teams.How to Apply: Email your cover letter and CV to ****** by the closing date.
