Oliver James is currently recruiting for a really exciting opportunity on behalf of one of our International banking clients in the process of obtaining their European Banking License. To facilitate this growth, the business is looking to appoint a Director of Capital Stress Testing, which will be a highly visible and autonomous position within the firm.
This newly created position will report into the Director for European Regulatory Policy and be responsible for a team of three individuals.
The successful candidate can expect to get involved in the following day-to-day duties:
Lead and coordinate the firm's participation in ECB stress testing exercises, collaborating with various departments to ensure precise data collection, modeling, and analysis.Communicate effectively with senior management, regulators, and internal stakeholders regarding capital stress testing initiatives and results.Regularly assess the bank's capital adequacy, identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending actionable steps to mitigate risks.Collaborate with group-wide teams to develop and maintain a comprehensive set of stress scenarios, factoring in macroeconomic trends and specific risks.Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the bank's ICAAP framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and sound risk management practices.Participate in key committees, forums, and reviews related to ICAAP and other regulatory stress testing efforts.Stay informed on industry trends, emerging risks, and explore innovative methods for capital stress testing.Lead interactions with Internal Audit, monitor regulatory matters, and manage audit findings, corrective actions, and milestones, including the collection and retention of evidence.Manage and mentor a team of professionals, offering guidance, training, and career development support.Ensure that stress testing exercises adhere to relevant local regulations and the firm's policies, such as the Model Risk Management Policy and Enterprise Stress Testing Policy.Our client is offering a very competitive remuneration package and a flexible hybrid working policy for their Dublin city centre office.
