Director Of Digital Connectivity Office Department Of The Environment, Climate And Communications

The Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC) has responsibility for policy and programmes across a number of areas of national strategic importance, including telecommunications; energy; climate action; and natural resources.
They are supported in their mandate by 14 State bodies, comprising leading commercial, non-commercial, and regulatory bodies, who play a critical role in delivering the Government's vision for Ireland, as outlined in Project Ireland 2040.
The Digital Connectivity Office (DCO) was established to oversee the delivery of the Government's Digital Connectivity Strategy. It is comprised of six divisional areas and is led at Director level with the support of a Senior Management Team.
Reporting to an Assistant Secretary for the Communications Division, the Director of Digital Connectivity Office will play a key role in the Department providing a significant opportunity to contribute to wider Government priorities. The role involves considerable cross-governmental and stakeholder interaction along with responsibility for leading a team of almost 60 staff across the DCO, including the management of a number of advisory services from external consultancy firms.
