Director Of Nursing 1, Assistant (Night Duty And Out Of Hours)

The Director of Nursing 1 (Assistant) serves as part of the Senior Nurse Management Team and will operate within the wider hospital management team.

The Director of Nursing 1 (Assistant) is responsible for the standard of nursing care on night duty and in the out of hour's period and leads the nursing team in the development and coordination of the service.

As a core member of the senior nursing management team they play a significant role in leading, planning and commissioning new services, identifying continuous improvement to current services and identifying new innovative ways of delivering effective services.

This role covers night shifts mainly but may be required to cover shifts in the out of hour's period during periods of leave.

The Director of Nursing (Assistant) will provide replacement for other ADON positions as required.
