We are currently looking to hire a Director of Sales and Marketing to join our existing team.
MAIN PURPOSE: To be primarily responsible for all Sales and Marketing activity for the Hotel and Spa, including the generation of new accounts and sales revenue in all relevant markets. In this role the Director of Sales and Marketing will ensure that sales volumes and revenue are being maximized from all markets including but not limited to the Leisure, Weddings, National Corporate Markets and the Irish Conference, Incentive and Association Markets. The Director of Sales and Marketing will work to achieve the annual sales revenue budgets for the property and will execute the sales and marketing strategies and actions that are dictated in The Heritage Hotel and Spa's Annual Sales and Marketing plans.
The Director of Sales and Marketing will execute in a professional and timely manner the functions of Sales and Marketing, Account Management, and Customer Relationship Management. MAIN DUTIES: O The primary focus for the Director of Sales and Marketing is manage existing accounts and to prospect, procure and contract new business for The Heritage.
O To procure new business from assigned key markets for The Heritage.
O To develop new business and generate additional sales in line with business needs for the hotel from new, lapsed, and existing clients.
O New Business: Source, contract and confirm new business from the key markets as laid out in the annual sales and marketing plan.
O To work within the assigned sales territories to source new business for the hotel and spa.
O To target and contract new accounts from the national corporate market.
O To target and contract new accounts from the association and conference markets.
O To be personally responsible for the selling and contracting of events and accommodation to the new client accounts.
O To be personally responsible for the selling and contracting of new events and accommodation from existing and lapsed client accounts.
O To schedule monthly sales appointments in major domestic urban areas targeting the large national and multinational companies and organizations for new M.I.CE business.
O To client manage existing client accounts and generate new business.
O To strategically target the key markets including but not limited to the Corporate and Conference Market segments for accommodation, conference and meeting and food and beverage business.
O To grow new business and sales revenue for The Heritage Hotel and Spa from all potential future corporate & conference clients within The Heritage Hotel and Spa's key markets.
O To plan and organize client and business to business sales promotions.
O To proactively promote the Hotel and Spa for all corporate event business in the local market.
O To represent The Heritage Hotel and Spa at relevant consumer fairs, trade exhibitions, seminars, etc.
O To work in conjunction with all bodies in the local market - local tourist board, the local chamber of commerce.
O To assist where necessary in the planning and organization of customer FAM trips, site inspections etc.

O To have existing knowledge of the products and services of all key competitors and regular maintenance / updating of SWOT analysis on these properties.
O To be aware of relevant competitor information and market changes and to recommend/initiate changes in our service as necessary.
O To attend weekly sales and yield meetings with all minutes actioned.
O To work weekends and evenings as required to full fill the duties of the position.
O To carry out any reasonable request from senior management O To ensure all guest queries are handled promptly and efficiently and to ensure an initial response is given within 2 hours of the enquiry.
O To communicate all negotiated rates to reservations, front office and accounts.
O To communicate all details agreed with clients to the relevant departments - reservations, front office, events, and accounts.
O To issue client contracts and quotes as required.
O Fully responsible for actioning the hotel's overall marketing, PR and social media plans.
O Manage social media platforms including the management of social media ad campaigns.
O Responsible for campaigns, launches, hotel websites, photography and database management.
O To present sales and marketing activities and key results to the Hotels General Manager and Group Sales and Marketing Manager on a monthly basis.
O To compile and submit a weekly sales and marketing report to the General Manager and Group Sales and Marketing Manager.
O To identify P.R opportunities.
O To adhere to cost control measures throughout the hotel.
