In this position you will be leading and directing the design, specification, automation, and installation of new and renovated biopharmaceutical process equipment and buildings infrastructure.
A typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following: Leading the Project Engineering & Capital Projects department by setting the example and providing clear expectations Forecasting, planning and controlling capital budgets Designing cGMP process and utility equipment, piping, and controls for new and renovated process areas and buildings at IOPS Supporting projects related to new process and new utility equipment manufacturing areas Leading the design review, factory & site acceptance, and installation of equipment Planning and advising work activities within the Project Engineering Department to meet committed schedules Managing process and instrument drawings and other related drawings systems related to capital projects Where required supporting the Validation Department through preparation of design documents and protocol review Leading all aspects of compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations, building codes, fire codes, and insurance carrier(s) requirements Evaluating, approving, preparing and driving modification/change control documentation Participating in investigational and continuous improvements efforts Researching options and developing viable plans for growth including existing site expansion, new site development, property purchase and renovations Planning projects for growth of Manufacturing, Support, Lab, Office, Parking and Storage areas Preparing project presentations for senior leadership team Ensuring team compliance with all departmental policies and procedures Crafting strategies for cGMP process equipment, piping, and controls Coaching and mentoring direct reports and all Engineering staff Supporting regulatory compliance efforts through audit participation and quality systems development Ensuring accurate completion of all departmental projects and compliance items Supporting manufacturing and maintenance activities as technical advisor Recommending appropriate corrective/preventive actions for existing equipment and manufacturing processes This role might be for you if: You have experience with forecasting, planning and control of capital budgets You have the ability to meet commitments on time You have experience with project management and delivery of projects You have the ability to maintain integrity and honesty at all times You have the ability to continuously drive processes for improved performance To be considered for this position you must hold a BS/BA or higher in engineering with 15+ years of experience in equipment, process, or facilities engineering with direct experience with biopharmaceutical process equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience leading large capital projects required.
