Our client is seeking a highly skilled Distribution Centre Supervisor to ensure the efficient and accurate handling of products for both inbound and outbound activities.
This key role is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by overseeing the complete process from goods receipt to dispatch.
The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on accuracy, speed, and computer literacy, contributing to a safe, clean, and collaborative working environment.Key Responsibilities:Outbound Shipments:Accurately pick, pack, and prepare outbound shipments.Print and verify consignment labels to ensure they match the correct destination details and include all required documentation.Inbound Shipments:Receive and log shipments accurately into the system.Cross-reference received goods with purchase orders and address any discrepancies.Team Collaboration:Work closely with team members to meet targets and maintain workflow efficiency.Ensure printers are stocked with the correct paper, labels, and ink.Communicate effectively with the Distribution Centre team, Interco supply chain, and Customer Service regarding order details and urgent requirements.Shipping Compliance:Utilize various platforms, including carrier websites, Microsoft D365, and Salesforce.Understand and adhere to regulations for shipping dangerous goods, ensuring proper labeling.Stay informed about different nations' packing requirements, considering seasonal weather and legal considerations.Health & Safety:Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Champion the client's ISO9001 (Quality), ISO14001 (Environmental), and Health & Safety standards.General Duties:Provide guidance and direction to colleagues as needed.Contribute to the overall success of the team by achieving shipping targets within the Service Level Agreement (SLA).Perform other ad hoc tasks necessary for the day-to-day running of the site.Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:Fluent in written and spoken English.Experience in a customer-focused environment.Previous supervisory or management experience.Skills:Passion for delivering excellent customer service.Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.Experience in training and coaching teams.Proficiency with IT systems, including ERP/CRM platforms.Knowledge of Dangerous Goods by Air (IATA) regulations.Forklift License (Counterbalance).Experience with Microsoft D365, Salesforce, and various courier shipping platforms.First Aid and Fire Marshal certification is desirable.Personal Attributes:Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.Team-oriented, with a collaborative management style.Calm under pressure and adept at handling complaints and challenging situations.Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the business.Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.Strong problem-solving abilities and general business acumen.Why Join Our Client?This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and high-performing team where you can contribute to a safe, fun, and productive working environment.
