The Distribution Manager will be responsible for the management of their warehousing, logistics, and distribution. It is a full-time permanent role. This role will suit a candidate who is looking for a leadership role in a company where they can develop their career.
Responsibilities of the Distribution Manager: Managing and developing a culture of continuous improvement within the Transport and Warehouse function, ensuring engagement of staff to deliver a "best in class" performance in all aspects of day-to-day duties.Collaborating closely with all functions in the Customer Supply department to ensure orders are delivered to customer standards and expectations.Managing the performance of direct and indirect reportees in a systematic, objective, and professional manner.Demonstrating strong leadership skills by providing work direction and guidance to direct reportees in performance management, staff development, training initiatives, and business process improvements.Continually assessing the distribution team staffing and skills requirements, developing plans to address gaps and needs.Developing ongoing site departmental plans to deliver the business objectives in terms of customer service targets, controlling costs, and H&S requirements.Progressing an innovative approach to continuous improvement, delivering efficiencies in our day-to-day operations. Ensuring relevant business improvement principles are understood, embraced, and implemented.Budget Management.Managing cost reconciliation of relevant billing processes including haulier self-billing & 3PL storage costing.Liaison with production on feedback from customers and 3PL facilities regarding accuracy and quality of manufactured pallets.Requirements for the Distribution Manager: Must have 3+ years of experience in a similar role.Must have strong people management experience.Ideally, this person would have experience working in a fast-paced environment and have experience with 3PL providers.Must have good systems experience, ideally using an ERP e.g. SAP.Must be an excellent communicator and team player.For a confidential conversation, contact Niamh Cregg at 0719149732 or email ******.
