DescriptionChildren's Disability Network Team The team provides therapeutic services to children and young people (0 -18) with a range of complex needs arising from a disability and who are living within the Finglas Network. There will be a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary team working and family centred practice as per the principles of Progressing Disabilities for Children and Young People.
The Senior Occupational Therapist will:
Be responsible for the maintenance of standards of practice of self and staff appointed to clinical/designated area(s).Ensure that staff in the designated service area(s) arrange and carry out duties in a timely manner, within settings appropriate to service user's needs, and in line with local policy/guidelines.Participate in mandatory training programmes.Participate in continuing professional development including in-service training, attending and presenting at conferences/courses relevant to practice, contributing to research etc. as agreed by the Occupational Therapist Manager, Children's Disability Network Manager.Promote a safe working environment in accordance with Health and Safety legislation.Develop and implement service/business plans, quality initiatives, audits etc. and report on outcomes in collaboration with the Line Manager.Collect and evaluate data about the service user group and demonstrate the achievement of the objectives of the service.**Please note if a panel is formed it may be supplementary to a previous existing panel** HSE Community Healthcare Dublin North City & County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
