The Assessment of Need team is an interdisciplinary team that provides assessments for children and young people living in Dublin North City and County following their application for Assessment of Need.
The team comprises of Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Administrative Support along with Psychology.
Core values of the team include family centred and evidence based practice.

The Senior Psychologist will:

- Carry a caseload of children and young people attending the service for Assessment of Need.

- To work with other Psychology colleagues and the interdisciplinary team to provide efficient and evidence based assessments.

- Adhere to the principles of Informing Families Guidelines.

- Deliver evidence based assessments in line with professional standards and in consideration of the Disability Act.

- Support the clinical supervision of Staff Grade and Assistant Psychologists working on the team.

- Support the CDNM in the development of the team's processes and pathways.

- Have the responsibilities of a Mandated Person as per the Children's First policy
