Our work positively impacts the lives of over 10,000 people with disabilities, equipping them with the confidence, skills, and self-belief to achieve their expressed goals Job Title: Driver 12 months Fixed Term Contract, Part-time 20 hours per week Potential for extension Location: National Learning Network - Cavan Working shifts: Monday to Friday: Split hours in the morning and afternoon shifts JobPurpose: To transport clients as required in a responsible and safe manner maintaining the highest standard of driving, in accordance with a National Driving School and the Department of Environment competency examination.
Minimum Education & Experience required: Category Irish B Full Clean Driving licence A minimum of 2 years relevant driving experience Disability awareness and experience of transporting passengers with limited mobility or who use wheelchairs is desirable.
Relevant Occupational experience Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
Job Duties & Responsibilities Comply with the rules of the road at all times making sure that the passengers are all safely seated i.e.
by ensuring the use of seat belts and clamps.
Maintain the vehicle in a safe and roadworthy manner always making sure it is in a clean and hygienic condition.
Ensure that the customer / client is satisfied.
Assisting the client on and off the vehicle using appropriate lifting techniques.
To observe all rules and regulations of the National Learning Network services ensuring that all relevant Rehab Group administrative rules, regulations and procedures are adhered to at all times.
To communicate effectively with the client/customer, to treat him/her with dignity and respect.
To participate in training programmes as appropriate.
