Early Years Outdoor Educator – Room Lead With Ecce Group Full Time Position

The Willows, Newtown Kids Club is a busy Outdoor Preschool & Afterschool based in Abbeyknockmoy, Co. Galway. We have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to grow professionally by joining our vibrant, committed and enthusiastic team of Early Years Educators.

You will be welcomed into a team culture that promotes new ideas and perspectives, giving you autonomy and the freedom to express yourself. The Team Leader will work alongside other staff in supporting children's holistic learning and development, guided by both the Aistear and Siolta Framework. We are seeking an enthusiastic person, with the ability to plan, implement and document children's learning and development.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for nature and the outdoors and can support the creation of inclusive and purposeful play and learning experiences for the children in each key group.

Responsibilities:

• Curriculum leadership to ensure high quality learning and care experiences

• Support the development of the children in your care by planning and implementing a weekly curriculum which will enhance the child's natural growth

• Responding to children's comfort need through sensitive support for personal care, feeding and sleep routines

• Generate new ideas and activities to encourage learning with the children

• Creation and maintenance of a welcoming, safe and enriching learning environment

• Observe, monitor and record the development of each child in your key group

• Ensure the safety, security and well-being of all children in your care

• Develop good communication and a good working relationship with parents to ensure the wellbeing of their child

• Respectful and engaged team work with all staff working in the setting

• Adhering to key policies, practices and guidelines to ensure children's safety and well –being, including Children's First and Early Years' Service Regulations.

Requirements:

Minimum FETAC/QQI Level 6 qualification in childcare is essential (or an equivalent recognised by the DCYA). Level 7, 8 or 9 QQI qualification an advantage and will receive top end pay scale salary.

• 2 years' experience working in childcare is preferred

• An excellent working knowledge of Aistear & Siolta frameworks will be required

• Good understanding of the English Language is essential

• First Aid, Manual Handling Certified would be an advantage

• Currently residing in Ireland

• Have the relevant visas & permits to work full-time in Ireland (This does not apply to Irish or EU citizens)

Salary: Negotiable – Highly competitive rates of Pay
