Early Years Practitioner

We wish to recruit a qualified and experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our part-time service, working in our toddler room. Minimum FETAC level 5 in childcare, level 6 or above preferred but not essential.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesBe willing to work with children ranging from the ages 1-5 yearsPerform a variety of tasks, such as nappy changing, toileting, feeding, nap supervision and engaging in playConduct observations of children using the Aistear and Siolta frameworkFollow the policies and procedures of the service at all timesCleaning, tidying and storage of equipment and toys after useCo-ordinate the implementation of activities suitable for different age groupsMaintain room, and equipment, to ensure the health and safety of children at all timesEnsure a good standard of hygieneOrganise materials and toys to the benefit of childrenSupport children's development in carrying out activities – emotional, social, physical and cognitiveAttend meetings and undergo training as requiredBe aware of child protection proceduresMaintain strict confidentiality of children and their familiesHave a strong work ethicBe a team playerBe naturally kind, caring and compassionate towards children and their needsGood communication and relating skills with children, staff and parents
