Effluent Plant Operator, East Donegal.
We are working with a client (production company) we know well and have placed with previously many times across various departments, an Employer based outside Letterkenny in Donegal who currently have a vacancies for Plant Operators in their factory.
Reporting to the Operations Manager you are directly responsible for managing the operations of the WWTP in compliance with discharge licence(s) and consistent with GMP and Health and Safety Duties include Continuously monitor the treatment process to ensure compliance with environmental standards and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal treatment efficiency.
Regularly test treated water to ensure it meets safety and quality standards for discharge Identify and address any issues or malfunctions in the treatment process promptly, performing / arranging repairs as needed.
Maintain accurate records of tests, adjustments, and repairs performed on the treatment process.
Safely handle and dispose of any hazardous materials used in the treatment process.
Coordinate with other staff members to ensure smooth plant operation.
Report any issues to ensure swift action can be taken Report any maintenance or servicing issues Maintain good housekeeping and general hygiene Undertake Training and Development as required Undertake any other relevant duties as required of the role What we are looking for This post is ideally suited to someone, with experience operating computerised monitoring systems and / or working in a general maintenance role, ideally outdoors.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, self-directing and proactive with a good work ethic.
Problem solving, attention to detail and flexibility are essential skills alongside the ability to communicate proficiently in English both verbally and in writing The ability to organise, plan and communicate is essential.
Previous experience within the food industry is desirable but not essential.
