Are you a EHS Advisor iwth a background in Construction ?This is a full-time permanent role is with a leading facilities management company based in Blanchardstown with clients sites sites throughout DublinEHS Advisor - Facilities Management - DublinOur client are a large Irish owned Facilities Management company.
They work in multiple sectors including; Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Education, Corporate, Government, Public Buildings, and Retail.We are currently recruiting for an EHS Advisor to join the EHS team.
This full-time permanent role would be ideally suited to an individual with a construction or trade background as this role will consist of both site visits along with office-based duties.up as required to ensure that actions are dealt with in the specified timeframe.Develop comprehensive guidelines, processes, and documentation to ensure the company compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.Implement and enforce required standards to safeguard the well-being of employees and protect the environment.Prepare and meticulously inspect Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) as well as Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) documentation to identify potential hazards and ensure safe work practices.Conduct thorough administrative and site audits to verify adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and EHS standards.Monitor compliance among specialist subcontractors, agency personnel, and direct employees to maintain a safe working environment.Foster relationships and maintain a positive proactive presence on-site to ensure strict compliance with EHS guidelines and regulations.Lead and coordinate comprehensive accident investigations, ensuring thorough and timely reporting of incidents, utilising root cause analysis techniques to identify the underlying causes of accidents and near-misses.
Implement practical and realistic corrective and preventive measures to enhance EHS performance.Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement effective corrective and preventive measures to mitigate the risk of future incidents.Ensure the company continued compliance with all relevant regulatory standards, including ISO14001 and ISO45001.Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards and adapt company practices accordingly.Effectively manage and maintain employee training records in collaboration with the Training Department to ensure that all employees receive appropriate EHS training.Utilise company platforms to ensure compliance with company requirements.Prepare EHS reports for SMT and present reports where required, including monthly project KPI's.Act as point of contact for the Head of EHS when required.Perform any other duties as necessary to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the business, as directed by company leadership.RequirementsDegree qualified, in an EHS disciplineKnowledge of Electrical, Mechanical and Construction industry essential5 years' experience in a fast-paced commercial environmentPossess an Internal Auditing accreditation to include Integrated Management Systems (ISO14000 and ISO 45001)Possesses an in-depth knowledge of Irish Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and regulationsPreferably has qualifications in the following areas - Train the Trainer, First Aid, Manual Handling and DSE AssessorProficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to generate detailed monthly reportsConscientious with a high attention to detail and an ability to multitaskExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluent EnglishExperience with the Construction Regulations and CDM roles, with experience working with sub-contractors.Ability to work well within strict deadlines.Ability to be able to prepare Audits and EHS reports, to a high standard.Proactive in identifying positive and negative acts, ability to follow through with realistic corrective andpreventive actions.Ability to lead and coordinate incident investigations and utilise root cause analysis.Package€55K- €65k negotiable based on experience & qualifications Fulltime permanent staff role with company benefits, life assurance, pension, health insurance etc.Role will be based in client office in Blanchardstown with regular travel to client sites in Dublin
