We are looking for a dedicated EHS Specialist to help us maintain our commitment and our client's commitment to environmental health and safety.
Position Overview:As the EHS Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective environmental, health, and safety programs for our site-based team and our contractors at our client facility. You will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with local regulations and client-specific requirements to promote a culture of safety and improve overall workplace safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and manage EHS policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.Provide training and support to employees on safety topics, emergency procedures, and best practices.Collaborate with management to identify and mitigate risks related to operations and facility management.Monitor compliance with local regulations and industry standards.Respond to and investigate safety incidents, providing thorough reports and recommendations for improvement.Analyze data to track EHS performance metrics and develop actionable strategies for continuous improvement.Serve as the primary point of contact for EHS-related inquiries and concerns within the organization.Implement programs to ensure contractors carry out work in accordance with legal and client requirements, including permits, risk assessments, and method statements.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably within facilities management or the software industry.Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.Professional certification is a plus.Why Join Us?At Apleona, we value the well-being and safety of our employees.
