The EHS Supervisor will oversee and manage all environmental, health, and safety activities within the company.
This role includes ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, managing waste disposal processes, and overseeing water conservation and treatment projects.
The EHS Supervisor will work closely with various departments to implement and promote a safe and sustainable working environment and achieve our sustainability and safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Environmental Compliance: Ensure the facility complies with all environmental regulations.
Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections.
Prepare and submit environmental reports and documentation including CSRD reporting.
Manage the business waste management requirements including waste permit, waste reporting and REPAK Completion of environmental risk assessments, impacts and aspects assessments Investigation of any environmental incidents identification of root causes and corrective and preventive actions CAPAs as required.
Updating all environmental data to the EDEN Environmental regulatory portal, as required.
Implementation of energy and sustainability objectives and targets and Environmental KPIs Installation and commissioning of any new environmental equipment e.g., abatement & Continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS), water retention, drainage systems and septic tanks Oversee the proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
Implement waste reduction and recycling programs.
Ensure compliance with waste management regulations.
Manage water conservation and treatment projects.
Monitor water usage and quality.
Implement strategies to reduce water consumption and improve water recycling.
Health and Safety Management: Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses.
Lead safety training programs and emergency response drills.
Investigate accidents and incidents and implement corrective actions.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor EHS staff.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure EHS policies are integrated into all operations.
Develop & foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Provision of training to employees and contractors on environmental programmes.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in the recycling or manufacturing industry.
Experience with waste disposal and water treatment projects.
Skills: Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses.
Proficiency in EHS management software and tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
