This is a permanent position, with a particular focus on a range of Oracle Systems projects and implementations.
Position Overview:As a key member of the Business Solutions team, the Business Analyst will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
This position requires close collaboration with business stakeholders to understand requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement, define software requirements, and support essential business systems.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Responsibilities: Collaborate with business stakeholders to design and implement IT solutions that align with the organizations strategic initiatives.
Provide advice on innovative, scalable, and reusable IT solutions to meet evolving business needs.
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending enhancements to existing systems.
Identify and manage risks associated with system-related change projects.
Ensure compliance with Group IT policies, including Change Control Documentation, Approval processes, and Call Logging procedures.
Continuously stay informed of IT trends and best practices to support the organization in adopting leading-edge technology solutions.
Operational & Project Responsibilities: Lead and manage projects through the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring timely delivery within budget.
Coordinate and assist in all phases of testing, including: Unit Testing System Integration Testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Collaborate with business owners to develop detailed functional specifications for third-party vendors, including process flow diagrams and business cases.
Work closely with the Technical Team to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Acquire deep knowledge of both business processes and IT systems, including their interdependencies.
Develop expert-level understanding of data structures within the systems and their derivations.
Leverage system expertise to drive continuous business process improvements.
Analyze and resolve software issues, identifying root causes and implementing both immediate solutions and long-term preventive measures.
Ensure that all delivered solutions adhere to data compliance and regulatory requirements.
Incorporate a security-first approach by embedding security considerations into business processes and solutions from inception.
Liaise with third-party vendors to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
Travel to various locations as needed to support business operations and projects.
Skills & Experience Required: Experience: Minimum of 5+ years as a Business Analyst, ideally with a focus on Oracle products and implementations.
Proven experience in designing and delivering IT solutions in a multi-location business environment.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in developing detailed functional specifications, process flow diagrams, and business cases.
Strong understanding of software development requirements and use case creation.
Ability to work with complex data structures and provide detailed analysis.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex software issues.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
Organizational & Time Management Skills: Excellent organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong collaborative skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Self-Motivation & Flexibility: Highly self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement.
Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and project demands.
