Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Chargehand to join our team in Cork.
The Chargehand will report directly to the Electrical Foreman and will be responsible for supporting the on-site supervision and coordination of the electrical team.
You will be critical in ensuring that electrical work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, in line with project timelines.

Key Responsibilities: Assist the Foreman in supervising and coordinating the electrical crew, ensuring work is executed according to plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
Take charge of specific sections or tasks on-site, ensuring the efficient use of resources and timely completion of work.
Ensure that all electrical work meets industry standards and is compliant with health and safety protocols.
Monitor the team's work quality and provide hands-on guidance and support where necessary.
Communicate with the Foreman and other team members to report progress, identify potential challenges, and ensure the smooth flow of operations.
Support the Foreman in allocating and managing materials, tools, and equipment.
Foster a positive team environment by leading by example and maintaining strong morale among the crew.
Ensure safety is a priority on-site, identifying hazards and implementing safety measures in compliance with the company's standards.
Qualifications & Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, such as leading a small team on-site, is highly desirable.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical installations, wiring systems, and tools.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting electrical plans, drawings, and project documentation.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and motivate a team.
