Electrical Design Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer (Switchgear) Description: We are seeking an ambitious Electrical Design Engineer to join our client, based in Meath who manufacture LV Switchgear & MCC's.
They provide quality products and services for their excellent client base.
It's a very exciting time to join my client as they are in a period of significant growth with an order book filled until 2031.
So if you are an ambitious Electrical Design Engineer working within Switchgear, then this is the role for you!
The Role: Preparation of detailed design drawings and documentation in line with specifications Identifying customer requirements Researching suitable solutions and estimating costs and production schedule Working to International (IEC), British (BS), European (EN), American (UL) and other standard Commercial control of key projects including budgets and variations Liaising with key customers, sub-contractors and suppliers, including site surveys and meetings Project commercial controls including variations Monitoring products in use to improve on future design and liaise with R+D department for Product development The Person: Must have experience in a related position / comparable role involving exposure to switchgear design engineering and managing multiple ongoing projects Degree educated in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
Project management skills Aptitude for problem solving An ability to respond to a fast-moving business environment Accuracy and attention to detail Oral and written presentation skills Ability to work in cross functional teams Training in Six Sigma or Design for Six Sigma is a plus.
