Electrical EngineerWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing Automation team.
The main focus of this position is to deliver high quality Electrical Design Solutions for bespoke Automated assembly machines for use within the production areas here at Ei.
The Electrical Engineer will work closely with the Mechanical Design and Controls Teams to develop cost effective electrical solutions for state-of-the-art automated equipment.
You will be a key member of the project delivery team responsible for concept designs right through to overseeing the commissioning and validation of the electrical systems.
As an Electrical Engineer you will contribute to:Electrical design, specification and development of innovative electrical solutions for automated assembly machines.Select & evaluate the electrical components to be used in the electrical designs.Develop electrical & pneumatic schematics, along with electrical layout drawings for new machine designs.Develop and maintain an accurate electrical BOM for each new machineManage the electrical build of machines, working closely with our suppliers and external partners.Provide technical support to the machine build team throughout the entire project cycle, including design, machine build, debug and commissioning phases.Conduct & contribute to electrical design reviews with all relevant stakeholdersContribute to machine risk assessments and electrical safety assessmentsCreate & maintain all relevant documentation for new & upgraded equipmentResponsible for ensuring that project timelines and targets are achievedThe PersonThe successful candidate will ideally have:
Experienced in the use of Eplan or Solidworks ElectricalKnowledge of single/three-phase electrical systems and protection measuresKnowledge in low voltage controls, safety circuits, PLC's, industrial networks, vision systems and robotics an advantageKnowledge of servo electric and pneumatic motion control systemsHave good knowledge and understanding of machine safety requirementsStrong problem solving and trouble shooting skillsAbility to prioritise tasks and manage time effectivelyAbility to work independently and also as part of a team as necessaryStrong attention to detailQualifications:3+ years in a similar Electrical Engineering roleLevel 8 in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalentOr Qualified Electrician with relevant experienceHow to apply:Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their CV and a cover letter outlining their suitability for the role to ******
