Electrical Engineering Team Leader - LimerickOverview: We are recruiting for an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join our client's Engineering team in Limerick. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in preventative maintenance and a passion for leading a team in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Leadership: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of both reactive and preventative maintenance across the site.Standardization & Best Practices: Ensure consistency in maintenance practices and collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement best practices.Continuous Improvement: Lead data analysis and root cause investigations to drive problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact for maintenance issues, managing escalation processes as required.Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure maintenance tasks are prioritized effectively.Team Supervision: Mentor and guide direct reports, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.Health & Safety Leadership: Actively promote and maintain a safe working environment by leading by example and raising awareness of safety practices.Skills & Attributes: Extensive experience in maintenance engineering within industrial or high-volume manufacturing settings.Profound technical knowledge of electrical systems, including the interpretation of codes, regulations, drawings, and specifications.Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in complex technical situations.In-depth understanding of current Electrical Regulations and Standards.Proficiency in preventative maintenance systems and practices.Requirements: Relevant Electrical trade qualification or an Electrical Engineering degree.Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Strong independence and organizational skills.Experience with controls, PLCs, software, and automated equipment.Key Competencies & Personal Qualities: Confidence and assertiveness, with the ability to take calculated risks.Effective communication skills, with a focus on active listening and valuing others' opinions.Strategic and logical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.A results-driven mindset, consistently aiming to exceed expectations.Ability to build trusting relationships through respect and sincerity.Organized and methodical, with strong planning and prioritization skills.Commitment to continual learning and maintaining deep technical knowledge in the field.This role offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic team, contribute to significant projects, and advance within a reputable company.
