Electrical Engineering technician
Job Type:Contract – 6 months+
Location:Cork Key Skills & Intangibles: Multi-tasking abilities; highly adaptive and able to work in fast-pace, rapid-fire environment Experience working with vendors, purchasing and logistics Critical thinking and problem-solving skill capabilities Proficient in Excel and Numbers Detail oriented and strong documentation skills Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work flexible hours, to include some overtime Background in Electrical Engineering with 2 years' experience of electrical testing, electronics fault isolation and sample preparation. Responsibilities include: Working closely with Engineering teams in carrying technical and administrative tasks for departmental operations Manage procurement/purchasing of goods/material needed for departmental operations Manage storage, audit, shipment and scrapping of samples/consumables/spare parts. Create and track Purchase Requisitions/Purchase Orders, Credit Card purchases, SORs. Identify areas of improvement or gaps in current processes to promote efficiency and productivity. Work on multiple projects and issues at a time. Help manage budget and track departmental spending. Conduct electrical testing and electronics fault isolation. Candidates should hold appropriate RTWs for Ireland i.e. Stamp1G Spousal, Stamp 4, Irish/British/EU passport.
