Job DescriptionOur client is one of the world's largest Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies and has multiple manufacturing sites across Ireland.
With major capital investment happening in their plants, this is an exciting time to join the team.
The Engineering Technician's primary function is to provide a maintenance and technical support function to all areas of the plant while adhering to all site safety policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory, cGMP and to HPRA and FDA standards.Work with flexibility within the Engineering Department and in co-operation with other Departments.Promote lean maintenance best practices at all times within a continuous improvement environment.Assist in developing and improving new and existing maintenance routines within a cGMP environment.Carry out planned/unplanned maintenance on production and utilities equipment.Proactively follow up on re-occurring technical issues.Use of the computerized maintenance management system to record in detail maintenance activities on equipment/utilities in compliance with regulatory & cGMP requirements.Execution of work orders and calibrations as scheduled through the computerized maintenance management system.Daily reporting of maintenance activities at shift meetings, ensuring issues and open items / concerns are communicated in a timely and concise manner.Participate in Safety and Environmental training programmes and initiatives.Available to respond to 'call out' as per a pre-defined rota if required.Take part in continuous improvement initiatives within the Engineering department.Complete Root Cause Analysis on equipment breakdowns as part of a team as required.Ensure timely completion of all SOP, reading, training and assessment.RequirementsMinimum of an electrical, Instrument or mechanical apprenticeship with a minimum of 5 years' experience and or an electrical, Instrument or mechanical engineering degree.A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry post-qualification is essential.Proven track record of high performance & delivering results.The determination and drive to sustain current best practices and the ability to identify develop and implement future best practicesInterest in continuous improvement.Good interpersonal skills.Ability to work well independently and as part of a teamCustomer service and task-focused.PackageSalary €40k - €50k based experience, negotiable for the right candidates.Excellent benefits packagePerformance Related BonusHealth InsurancePensionFlexibility Paid Maternity/Paternity LeaveEducational Assistance ProgrammeZero Absence AwardTalent & Development ProgrammeOccupational Health & Wellness Programme
