Electrical Project Engineer

Galetech Energy Services (GES) part of the Galetech Group is one of the leading renewable energy services companies in Ireland. We are presently working as consultants on a range of wind, solar, BESS, bioenergy projects both in Ireland and internationally. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a project manager to join our team   GES is supporting clients on a number of projects at various stages of their project lifecycle.
You will be primarily responsible for managing projects through both pre-construction and construction phases.
The role will vary from project to project between leading the Owner Engineer team or being part of the wider team as needed.
You will also provide commercial and technical input where required.
The role will involve assisting in preparation of electrical functional specifications, tendering, contract management and operations support.
  The ideal candidate will be a project engineer/project manager with experience in the renewable energy sector.
The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, organised, have the ability to problem-solve and deliver projects to deadlines whilst working in a dynamic environment, both as part of a team and on their own initiative.
  Excellent communication and strong technical ability are essential.
Familiarity with the renewable energy sector and grid connections would be a distinct advantage.
Working knowledge of CAD or other electrical design software packages desirable.    The role will suit a project engineer who has the ambition to grow their skill set within a rapidly expanding sector. The successful candidate can expect a stimulating friendly and flexible working environment and the opportunity to progress their careers.

The role will combine both office/home based project management along with site based tasks.
Site based time will vary and could be up to 2 or 3 days per week.
  Salary is negotiable and dependent upon experience.
Home / Office / Site working hybrid is available. Full clean drivers' licence is essential.
    Essential: Third Level Qualification Excellent communication, report writing and interpersonal skills Strong project management skills Excellent team-working ability Willingness to work cross-discipline (wind, solar, BESS, bioenergy) Strong computer skills required Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (if required) Organised thorough and diligent Ability to perform under pressure Full clean drivers licence       Beneficial: Experience in the wind and/or solar industry, ideally consulting environment Knowledge of CAD or other design software packages
