Your New Role As an Electrical Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimisation of electrical systems within automated warehouse environments, including cold storage environments.
Your responsibilities will include diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading electrical systems.
You will work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), conveyors, sensors, motors, drivers, and other automated machinery.
You will perform regular maintenance and inspections to ensure system reliability, collaborate with other technicians and engineers to improve system performance, implement upgrades and modifications to enhance efficiency and safety, and maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
What You'll Need to Succeed To succeed in this role, you will need a relevant technical certificate or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
You will have proven experience of maintaining and troubleshooting automated systems, proficiency with PLCs, sensors, motors, and other electrical components, and a strong understanding of electrical schematics and technical manuals.
Your problem-solving skills and attention to detail will be key to your success, as will your ability to work independently and as part of a team.
