On behalf of our Client based in Limerick, we are currently sourcing a Electro/Mechanical Technician to join their Team. This role is working 2 weeks of days and 2 weeks of nights per month. Key Responsibilities / Outcomes: Main Duties & Responsibilities: Maintenance & Repair of Automated Equipment & Systems: oComplete preventive maintenance on equipment oReview and improve maintenance routines oCarry out repairs to equipment when failures occur. oTypical equipment will include the following; oAutomatic storage and retrieval system oPrinting and Labelling equipment oConveying systems oMechanical lifting/de-stacking machines oFridge and freezers oBuilding services and facilities, including a HVAC systems oCo-ordinate the electro-mechanical repairs to high-speed, PLC-controlled plant, handling and packaging equipment, also pneumatic control systems oCo-ordinate the scheduling and performance of PM routines oWork with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications oTo be observant & work off your own initiative when a fault is detected & to take action based on your best judgment on whether to effect immediate repair or not oCo-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies oUpdate the maintenance management system&records of all changes, stores transactions made and work carried out oTroubleshooting using PLC Programs oResponsible for completion of planned work, shifts daily input of all works, parts booked out of stores and control of breakdowns Key Skills & Experiences oBe a qualified tradesperson Mechanical/Electrical, or relevant automation/maintenance experience. oHave experience with a computerised maintenance scheduling system, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and WMS diagnostics(Training provided) oBe experienced in equipment maintenance and engineering. oHave experience with PLC and machine logic. oBe familiar with motors and the general motor maintenance and replacement. oHave some experience with Pneumatics. o2 years experience in a high volume automation environment.
