On behalf of our Client based in Limerick, we are currently sourcing an Electro/Mechanical Technician to join their Team. This role is working 2 weeks of days and 2 weeks of nights per month.
Key Responsibilities / Outcomes:Main Duties & Responsibilities:Maintenance & Repair of Automated Equipment & Systems:Complete preventive maintenance on equipmentReview and improve maintenance routinesCarry out repairs to equipment when failures occurTypical equipment will include the following:Automatic storage and retrieval systemPrinting and Labelling equipmentConveying systemsMechanical lifting/de-stacking machinesFridge and freezersBuilding services and facilities, including HVAC systemsCo-ordinate the electro-mechanical repairs to high-speed, PLC-controlled plant, handling and packaging equipment, also pneumatic control systemsCo-ordinate the scheduling and performance of PM routinesWork with equipment suppliers on new equipment, installations, and modificationsBe observant & work off your own initiative when a fault is detected & to take action based on your best judgment on whether to effect immediate repair or notCo-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competenciesUpdate the maintenance management system & records of all changes, stores transactions made, and work carried outTroubleshooting using PLC ProgramsResponsible for completion of planned work, shifts daily input of all works, parts booked out of stores, and control of breakdownsKey Skills & Experiences:Be a qualified tradesperson – Mechanical/Electrical, or relevant automation/maintenance experienceHave experience with a computerized maintenance scheduling system, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and WMS diagnostics (Training provided)Be experienced in equipment maintenance and engineeringHave experience with PLC and machine logicBe familiar with motors and general motor maintenance and replacementHave some experience with Pneumatics2 years experience in a high volume automation environment.
