eero is seeking a dedicated QA Engineer with a strong focus on critical embedded firmware testing to maintain the seamless operation of our platform. In this role, you will play a key part in validating software releases and ensuring an exceptional customer experience as a valuable member of the QA team.
You'll work closely across multi-functional development teams to help discover, recreate, and debug issues. You will have the opportunity to contribute and grow our existing Python automation framework to expand our test coverage.
Key job responsibilitiesBlack and gray box testing on driver and userspace embedded softwareProvide additional cross functional test support for other team membersNew hardware test and supportWriting and executing test plans to ensure complete code coverageProviding detailed bug reports to the engineering team using JIRAWork with distributed development and test teamsPrepare and maintain test beds and hardwareBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
- 2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Working knowledge of unix/linux
- Knowledge of networking standards and protocols such as IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, DHCP
- Knowledge of wireless networking (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be)
- A strong desire to learn with and without hands-on guidance
- Ability to work independently and within a testing team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with consumer networking hardware such as routers, switches, wireless access points
- Experience with mobile app testing
- Experience testing cloud APIs
- Experience using Python and/or Linux shell scripting skills
- Clear and concise communication
