We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join as a Team Lead in the GPU Organisation in Cork. As a Team Lead you will be responsible for building and managing an embedded software team. In addition to managing the team, you will also have the opportunity to be involved in the software development.
Qualcomm's requirement for a Team Lead is to manage the prioritises of a team of highly skills Graphics System Software Engineers. Having experience with known management frameworks such as Kanban and Scrum are essential. Also having experience managing a team and delivering on aggressive schedules is required.
What you will be doing at Qualcomm Managing a small team of engineers developing systems software for GPU Hardware Development Work with the global GPU organisation to plan and coordinate prioritises for the systems team in Ireland. Triage and debugging regression failure of GPU benchmarks, games and tests caused by GPU user mode drivers in pre-silicon environment. Develop new features in GPU user mode drivers. Participate in code reviews. Mentoring and managing junior engineers. What you will bring to Qualcomm At least 5 years of hands-on software development in C/C++ Experience in managing a high-performance team. Nice to Have / Advantage Experience in Agile Management Frameworks like Scrum or Kanban Experience managing project using JIRA Experience in Graphics Rendering using API's such as Vulkan or DirectX Experience working in Semiconductor companies. Comfortable working close to the hardware Willing to take challenge of developing drivers on bare metal GPU in a pre-silicon environment. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR
Master's Degree in Computer or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
