Energy / Sustainability Engineer

What you will do: Undertake energy audits to SI-426/599 standards or equivalent.Conduct energy reviews and develop energy baselines.Assist clients in the private sector and public sector to develop pathways to their energy reduction & decarbonisation objectives, targets and energy performance indicators (EPI).Lead/assist in energy management activities including data analysis, project scoping, project design, project management.Identify, analyse, design, cost and project manage energy conservation and decarbonisation measures.Prepare quality technical reports for companies, environmental agencies and government bodies.Liaise with consultants and sub-contractors, and various third party contributors to projects.Project manage projects in accordance with H&S and budgetary requirements.Contribution to other projects as needed.Ensure our clients Quality Management System, H&S and Environmental standards are implemented and maintained on projects.What you need to have: Degree in Energy Engineering/Sustainable Engineering/Building Services/Mechanical Engineering.Experience in ESG/Sustainability programs and management.Experience in stakeholder management.Project management experience.Knowledge of current best practices in sustainable technologies.Excellent proficiency in the English language (both written and oral).Full clean driving licence.Eligible to permanently work in Ireland without any restrictions.Excellent computer and data analysis skills.Excellent report writing and presentation skills.Familiarity with various funding mechanisms available to clients e.g. SEAI's SSRH, CEG, Microgen schemes, SSEA etc.Knowledge of relevant Building Regulations.Nice to haves: Qualification in sustainability or energy management.Certified Energy Manager/Certified Energy Auditor/Chartered Energy Manager.Member of a recognised professional body e.g. Engineers Ireland, CIBSE, EI.Domestic and non-domestic BER Assessor.IES modelling.Relevant MSc degree.Experience in the area of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Lighting and Renewables.AutoCAD or related technical drawing software.What our client offers: Company vehicle.Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, pension and death in service insurance.Dynamic and collaborative work environment with a focus on innovation and sustainability.Being part of a dynamic team on new construction projects.21 days annual leave, additional company days plus paid bank holidays.Paid professional memberships and individual training budgets.Tailored training and mentoring schemes to advance your career.
