Energy Training Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Energy Training Specialist to develop, deliver, and maintain high-quality training programs for all operational and sales departments (Customer Service, Billing, Banking, Collections, and Sales teams). You will play a key role in ensuring staff are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide exceptional customer experiences and adhere to company processes. This role will play a critical part in enhancing employee capabilities, driving engagement, and supporting the overall growth and success of the company.
Please note this role will initially be based in our head office in Drogheda, but will re-locate to our brand new offices in Dublin Airport Central in the New Year.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver comprehensive training programs for new hires and existing staff in all operational and sales departments (Customer Service, Billing, Banking, Collections, and Sales).Provide training on internal systems, including CRM, billing software, and other customer-facing tools.Facilitate both classroom and virtual training sessions, adapting delivery style to suit different learning needs.Train staff on the technical aspects of operational processes, customer interaction protocols, and the sales process.Ensure all staff are proficient in navigating systems and adhering to compliance standards.Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and department heads to create and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, e-learning modules, and job aids.Ensure all training content is aligned with current processes, procedures, and compliance requirements.Lead onboarding training for new employees, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.Work closely with the HR team to ensure smooth transition of new hires into operational roles.Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback from participants and managers.Work closely with the QA team to identify areas of improvement and adjust training content or methods to enhance learning outcomes.Undertake additional ad hoc duties as required to support the overall success of L&D initiatives across the Flogas group.Stay updated on industry trends, system upgrades, and best practices to continuously improve training programs.Proactively identify training gaps and provide ongoing coaching and refresher training as needed.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is an experienced Trainer with a strong background in the energy, utilities, or telecommunications sectors. They possess in-depth knowledge of customer service and billing systems, along with expertise in developing and delivering training programs for frontline staff in customer service, billing, or sales roles. Proficient in e-learning platforms and digital training tools such as Articulate 360 or Camtasia, they excel at presenting complex information clearly and engagingly. With excellent communication and organizational skills, they can manage multiple training programs effectively. A certification in Training & Development or a related field is desirable.
