Job Title: Engineer Location: Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim Salary: €39,303 - €68,178 per annum Additional Remuneration: €4,756 for out-of-office emergency response duty Blackfox Solutions are seeking a skilled Engineer to join our client's operational management team based in the Western Region of Ireland.
The successful candidate will oversee maintenance, recreational/commercial use, and development of infrastructure in the Shannon Navigation Area.
The role involves managing staff, contractors, and consultants, while coordinating with local groups to enhance recreational use of waterways.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise maintenance and construction projects, ensuring safety and quality.
Coordinate with contractors, volunteers, and local stakeholders.
Conduct site surveys, risk assessments, and planning submissions.
Manage the use of waterways and property, enforcing relevant byelaws.
Liaise with environmental bodies and ensure compliance with legislation.
Assist with water level management and contribute to emergency response duties.
Requirements: Experience in maintenance and construction management.
Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple projects.
Excellent communication skills and project management experience.
