Engineering & Compliance Manager

Details of the offer

The Engineering and Compliance Manager will effectively manage and arrange the maintenance and servicing of all gas equipment on a customer's premises pertaining to their Flogas LP gas supply. The department also manages the approval and training of gas contractors to meet customer needs.
This role will initially be based out of our Drogheda Head office but will primarily be based in our new offices at Dublin Airport Central later this year.
Key Responsibilities:Manage technical support department including office, engineering, and field staff.Develop and maintain familiarity with industry standards and codes of practice.Provide support to staff, contractors, and customers on technical queries and compliance with industry standards and best practice.Drive and support health and safety culture within the business.Project manage compliance projects on company assets in the field.Liaise with government authorities including CRU, HSA, HSENI in relation to customer safety.Implement requirements and maintain safety licence for supply of gas through piped distribution networks.Development of risk assessments and method statements.Contractor management including induction, approval, training, development, and assessment.Management of company assets in the field including LPG storage vessels, distribution networks, and auxiliary LPG equipment.Continual improvement on installation techniques through research and introduction of new equipment and processes.Development and implementation of company procedures, technical documents, and safety literature.Develop and perform gas safety training with company staff and contractors.Support sustainability objectives and products.Assist in maintaining quality management system in line with ISO 9001 accreditation and ensure company-wide compliance with the quality policy.Undertake additional related duties as required.Candidate Profile:The ideal candidate holds a degree in mechanical or chemical engineering, with at least five years of experience in a similar role. They have hands-on experience with CAD software and are familiar with ISO accreditation processes. While experience in the energy or petrochemical industry is advantageous, it is not essential.
They demonstrate a strong ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining a proactive and positive attitude towards customers. With a deep understanding of health and safety practices, they are collaborative team players with excellent communication, interpersonal, and clerical skills. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required, with knowledge of SharePoint being a plus. A full, clean driving license is also essential.
