Hours of work: This position requires working day shifts from 6am to 2pm and evening shifts 2pm to 10pm on alternating weeks.

We are currently recruiting an Engineering Shift Manager to join our Engineering team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is an onsite position based at Fox & Geese site, Dublin 22.
The role's objective is to support the engineering manager in leading and developing electrical maintenance teams. This includes executing the Packaging maintenance program to ensure equipment reliability aligns with modern manufacturing standards. The position involves implementing modern processes, procedures, and standardization to continuously improve equipment performance using lean principles.
Role and Responsibilities Purpose of the Role Assist the Engineering manager in leading and developing the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams in the execution of the Packaging maintenance program delivering equipment reliability in line with modern manufacturing standards.Deliver modern and effective reliability/asset care processes and procedures and standardization, continuously improving equipment performance in line with Lean principles, standards and systems.Capable of challenging the status quo and have the ability to challenge, develop and coach the maintenance teams in the delivery of the engineering reliability and lean operations strategy.Key influencer at a cross functional level.Must lead the maintenance team to best in class (site and company) in Lean Principles.Investing in and developing a culture of accountability within the engineering department.Help Fox & Geese become best in class Pernod Ricard Affiliate in terms of safety, quality and productivity.Compliance Every employee has a duty of care to ensure the safety and wellbeing of themselves and others.Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environment, and quality legislation, procedures and standards in the workplace.Responsible for ensuring all team members are competent to operate equipment and perform all duties safely (risk assessment competent) and according to maintenance regulatory standards, legislation, and site procedures and standards.Champion and embed a safe work environment.People Engagement and Leadership Be Real, Be Remarkable, Be Responsible, role-modelling the Irish Distillers Values.Embrace and support a competitive and collaborative High-Performance team mindset.Leads and executes the deployment of Asset Care within the packaging hall with crafts and operators.Team building, mentoring and coaching skills.Must be able to build relationships with plant personnel, communicate effectively with employees at all levels, and take initiative in detecting and anticipating problems and opportunities for the company.Coach and support craft and line teams to deliver performance and increase reliability of machines.Lead in the transition to a lean manufacturing principle and structured problem-solving culture within asset care and equipment reliability.Monitor equipment performance/downtime and analyse trends to continuously improve reliability.Lead and participate in improvement projects using relevant Lean principle tools.Adhere to leader standard work for the role.Job Specific Lead daily operational review meetings.Attend and support Tier 1 and Tier 2 daily site meetings.Collaborate closely with site wide Stakeholders including Bottling Operations and Quality Teams.Develop and execute the Asset Care strategy for bottling operations with crafts and operators.Act boldly to address team discipline and performance issues.
