PepsiCo is on the look-out for a Engineering Programme Manager (Global Strategic Capital) to join our global engineering function based in Cork.
We are the concentrate business in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo's mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi. The Technical Function is our team of enabling experts offering knowledge and partnership to functions on specialist subjects including engineering, quality and productivity. Reporting to the Global Sr. Strategic Capital Engineering Manager, this is a central engineering role based in Ireland. The key focus will be the delivery of the large, complex, time sensitive, global strategic capital projects for PGCS. Key challenges will be balancing resources, capital and operating priorities with a complex business global model and variable business dynamics arising from broad and varying demands.

Responsibilities Lead the execution of Large Strategic Capital Projects required to deliver the key business critical initiatives including increasing capacity requirements, infrastructure, and business continuity planning (BCP) for the PCGS business.Lead and manage a globally diverse group of 20 direct/indirect contract engineers to ensure the delivery of large strategic capital projects.Responsible for delivering the engineering and procurement standards, including technical and commercial aspects, supplier relationships and performance management of large strategic capital projects globally.Identify and resourcing the capabilities needed to deliver technically complex solutions.Responsible for the safe execution, the budget, and the schedule of the large strategic capital projects.Responsible for the adherence to project governance protocols and compliance with project controls in accordance with company policies.Identify and develop strategic supplier relationships to support effective management of the large strategic capital projects.Implement project management best practice including PM procedures, EHS management, validation, risk management, tracking & performance metrics required to deliver the large strategic capital projects.Develop and leverage best practices from PepsiCo divisions as well as from other industries to deliver world class performance in plant and equipment design, project implementation and construction management.Develop and implement sustainable engineering practices and programmes ensuring sustainability in plant design and operation.Lead value management exercises as required.Support the communications planning and flow of information from projects through to the Governance/Steering teams and the wider stakeholder network.Lead and/or support the identification and resolution of project issues.Support set up of organisation and reporting structures for new strategic projects.Responsible for project capital and opex budget control, cashflow forecasting and cashflow tracking/reporting.Lead the interface and communication across functions to ensure seamless handover of projects to plant operations.Provide technical leadership as required to both project and site/cross functional teams.Be a change advocate. Qualifications 5 to 10 years process industry experience in engineering with additional operations or maintenance exposure and extensive capital project management experience.Degree qualification in Chemical, Process, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Experience in leading large multi-cultural engineering teams.Proven track record in delivering large capital projects in a global and diverse environment.Experience in: process plant technical standards, project concept development, business case and capital approval, design, procurement, installation/construction, commissioning, validation, EHS management and contractor/construction management.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to work at all levels in an international organization.Highly developed influencing skills required to manage various stakeholders.Strategic leadership mind-set capability a requirement (need to build the business case and present at the highest levels in PepsiCo).
