Reporting to the Ireland Engineering Manager, this role will be responsible for the delivery of the strategic capital agenda for the Ireland region with overall responsibility for the project execution, capital budget, schedule and delivery of approved projects. The role will be responsible for delivering all execution activities for the Ireland Strategic Capital Program. Key challenges will be delivering a complex capital agenda while ensuring minimum impact to the site's operating business plan.
ResponsibilitiesLead the execution of key Strategic Capital Programs in the Ireland area required to deliver capacity and business continuity planning (BCP) for the PCGS business.Responsible for the safe execution of the Strategic Capital Program of Projects in the Ireland Region.Lead all aspects of execution/construction activities associated with the Ireland area strategic capital program with responsibility for delivering the required KPI's including Safety, Quality, Budget, Cashflow and Schedule.Implement project management best practice including PM procedures, EHS management, Validation, Risk Management, required to deliver the capital plan.Driving performance through metrics required to deliver the capital plan.Responsible for delivering the engineering and procurement standards, including technical and commercial aspects, supplier relationships and performance management of the key capital programs.Identify and develop strategic supplier relationships to support effective management of the PGCS global and local capital requirements.Work with Corporate & local legal resources, in conjunction with PGCS engineers, to ensure that the necessary procedures, contractual documentation, contacts and relationships are in place.Lead the Change Management agenda to ensure smooth interface and communication with the Ireland Plant Functions, ensuring seamless startup & handover of projects.Manage a group of staff and contract engineers (>10) to ensure the delivery of the Capital program.Manage a group of contractors and vendors delivering this agenda (>100) to ensure the delivery of the Capital program.Identify and build technical capability across all the sites and provide training where required.Experience and advocacy of change management implementation.This role requires technical competency in the automation and operational technology field and the ability to influence key stakeholders to drive change in operational methods and the ability to manage teams of contractors and staff to deliver capital projects to a high standard within committed budget and schedule.Strong background in the development and implementation of new innovative solutions (robots, AGV's, automated storage and retrieval systems).Experience in managing large complex projects in a multi-cultural, multi-site environment. Experience in managing large contractor workforce and 3rd party consultants.Change management advocacy. Qualifications8-12 years process industry experience in engineering with extensive capital project management experience particularly in the area of Execution & Construction Management of large and complex projects.Degree qualification in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering.Experience required in the following areas:Process plant technical standards.Project concept development.Business case and capital approval.Design, Procurement and Installation.Construction, Commissioning and Validation.Environmental, health and safety management.Contractor and Construction Management.Project risk management.Ability to define and lead projects and direct/motivate project teams.Demonstrated ability to function effectively in stressful, fast-paced situations, with the personal leadership to influence and positively motivate self and peers.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to work at all levels in an international organization.Proven track record in executing large capital projects with significant construction scope in a live operating environment.Highly developed influencing skills required to manage various stakeholders.PepsiCo products are enjoyed by consumers more than one billion times a day in more than 200 countries and territories around the world.
