Position: Engineering Supervisor Location: Limerick Permanent Salary: €60,000 to €70,000 The Role: The primary goal of the MPD (Maintenance Package Development) team is to ensure the timely development and delivery of accurate, complete maintenance packages to Site Engineering, Maintenance, and Process Owners.
The Team Leader will assist all team members in achieving the project objective through overseeing and co-ordinating the day-to-day operations of the MPD team, ensuring that all deliverables are met with the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management * Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, (Est nine), providing guidance, support, direction, and mentorship.
* Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development.
* Conduct regular one-on ones, team meetings and informal check ins with all team members to monitor progress, address issues, priorities actions, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
* Act as the client's point of contact for the MPD Lead, the onsite client representative to ensure client expectations are met.
Project Coordination and Oversight * Oversee the day-to-day operations of the MPD team, ensuring all tasks are completed as planned.
* Coordinate with Site Engineering, Maintenance, and Process Owners to understand their requirements and ensure deliverables meet their needs.
* Monitor project timelines and milestones, and drive delivery of all maintenance packages.
Deliverable Management * Coordinate the execution and delivery of the following key components: * Maintenance Assessments (RCM/FMEA) * PMs (& Job Plans) * Calibrations (& Job Plans/Data Sheets) * Spare Parts Loader * Location Loader * Asset Loader * Validate and verify the accuracy, completeness, and quality of all maintenance packages before submission.
Communication and Reporting * Serve as the primary point of contact for the day-to-day activities of the MPD team, liaising with internal stakeholders.
* Prepare and present regular status reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
* Ensure effective communication within the team and with other departments, promoting transparency and collaboration.
Continuous Improvement * Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance team performance and project outcomes.
* Constantly review the opportunities for workload levelling and workflow optimisation and opportunity analysis.
* Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, integrating relevant innovations into the team's workflows.
Qualifications/Requirements: * Education: Level 8 degree (or equivalent) in Engineering discipline, Maintenance Management, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance engineering or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
Previous experience in project delivery and the introduction of new equipment is desirable.
Technical Skills: * Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling, reliability-cantered maintenance (RCM), and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA).
* Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
* Understanding of calibration processes and spare parts management.
Leadership Skills: * Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure and manage multiple deliverables.
Soft Skills: * Strong organisational and time management skills with a high attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships.
