Wills Bros are seeking an experienced and driven Environmental Manager to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that a major project complies with all environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
This is a key role within our company, requiring a proactive individual who can lead environmental initiatives, manage compliance, and contribute to the successful delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee the environmental management of a major Civil Engineering project.Develop, implement, and maintain the Environmental Management Plan (EMPs).Ensure compliance with Irish environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards.Conduct environmental impact assessments and risk assessments.Liaise with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and clients to ensure environmental requirements are met.Monitor and report on environmental performance, including site inspections and audits.Implement sustainable practices and promote environmental awareness across the project team.Manage waste, water, and energy resources effectively to minimise environmental impact.Lead environmental incident investigations and implement corrective actions.Provide environmental training and guidance to project staff.Key Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management, with a focus on airfield and industrial projects.In-depth knowledge of Irish environmental regulations and standards.Proven experience in conducting environmental assessments and audits.Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Proficient in environmental management systems (EMS) and related software tools.Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.A commitment to continuous improvement and environmental sustainability.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional development and career progression.A supportive and collaborative work environment.Involvement in high-profile and impactful projects.Join our team and help shape a sustainable future for Ireland's infrastructure!
