Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
The role involves supporting financial operations and contributing to ongoing improvements within a dynamic and evolving finance function.
This position offers a hybrid working model, with an office base in Dublin 7.
Job Responsibilities Assist in preparing, consolidating, and reviewing monthly management accounts.
Ensure the accurate and timely completion of month-end processes.
Conduct reconciliations and provide analysis for financial reporting.
Maintain and improve financial procedures, ensuring high-quality documentation.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and control enhancements.
Support system development, testing, and upgrades within the finance function.
Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and non-finance departments.
Provide support to management on ad hoc projects and reporting requirements.
Uphold a robust control environment, identifying and escalating risks as necessary.
Experience Required Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in financial accounting roles.
Professional accountancy qualification with membership in a recognised professional accounting body.
Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proven attention to detail and ability to work both independently and within a team.
Desirable Skills Experience in process improvement and implementation of financial controls.
Familiarity with system transitions or financial management software upgrades.
Effective communication skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders.
Educational Requirements A professional accountancy qualification is required.
