Our client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team, providing expert financial and contractual guidance for ongoing and upcoming construction projects.
This role is integral to ensuring the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of project delivery.
Job Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management for projects.
Prepare, negotiate, and analyse project tenders and contracts.
Oversee and assess project costs throughout all stages, ensuring alignment with budgets.
Collaborate with project teams to track progress and address cost-related issues.
Lead discussions with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers on financial and contractual matters.
Prepare detailed reports and cost analysis for stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations in all financial dealings.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality.
Experience Required: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in quantity surveying or related roles in construction.
Demonstrated expertise in contract administration and tender management.
Proven ability to manage large-scale and complex construction projects.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Desirable Skills: Familiarity with the latest cost management software and tools.
Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and cost implications.
Prior experience with high-value commercial or infrastructure projects.
Membership in relevant professional organisations (e.g., RICS or equivalent).
Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Professional certification or chartered status is highly desirable.
Working Hours & Benefits: Standard working hours (Monday to Friday).
