Our client requires a Strategic Finance Project Manager to oversee and support the monitoring, reporting, and delivery of a diverse portfolio of finance projects.
This role is integral to driving operational efficiency and ensuring alignment with organisational strategy during a time of financial transformation.
Job Responsibilities: Oversee the progress of a portfolio of finance projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
Develop and implement project tracking tools and frameworks to monitor performance and milestones.
Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and constraints while supporting resource planning across the finance function.
Provide regular progress updates, reports, and dashboards to senior management, highlighting key achievements and challenges.
Drive delivery of financial improvements, including process optimisation and system enhancements.
Assist in the development of business-as-usual operational programmes, ensuring a comprehensive finance programme portfolio view.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure alignment.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote the adoption of new systems and processes.
Ensure regulatory and policy compliance across all projects, with a focus on governance and accountability.
Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years in project management, finance operations, or related transformation roles.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-project portfolios in dynamic environments.
Experience supporting senior finance leaders and driving large-scale finance initiatives.
Strong understanding of financial processes, reporting, and compliance requirements.
Desirable Skills: Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or PMP.
Experience in finance transformation or system implementation projects.
Knowledge of public sector funding and audit frameworks.
Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is essential.
