We foster and inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon.We are currently recruiting for an Equipment Technician role on an 18-month contract to support our engineering department in Cork.
The main responsibility of the role is the maintenance and repair of the Tip Coating and Secondary packaging automated equipment located in the Finishing center in Cork.
In this role, a typical day will include:Provide first response technical support for the Tip Coating and Secondary Packaging equipment.Execute all aspects of equipment procurement, preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and repair activities.Daily reporting into Engineering on all activities and highlighting any concerns early.Responsible for investigating and documenting process issues.Must work within defined Equipment, Maintenance and Change Control standard operating procedures.Assist in the execution of Change Control activities.Upkeep of Equipment literature files, Work Orders & the Preventative Maintenance database.Monitor & update OEE downtime tracking system and equipment process logs.Must participate in shift rota to provide Production and Facilities support on Days, Evenings and night shifts as required.Comply with all Alcon Safety and Environmental Procedures.Must comply with all aspects of the Alcon Quality System by adherence to SOPs and Alcon corporate standards.Completion of non-conforming investigations (NCIs) (CAPAs) & (DCTs) in addition to assisting with Internal/External audits, where required.Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, email and strong technical writing ability.What you'll bring to Alcon:Certificate or Level 7 in an Engineering discipline and a Level 8 qualification would be preferred.
