Role Overview: As an Estimator, you will be a pivotal part of our team, responsible for accurately forecasting project costs and preparing detailed estimates.
Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure that all financial aspects of construction projects are managed effectively.
Your responsibilities will include: Developing precise cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
Analysing project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed and accurate estimates.
Collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain cost information and verify accuracy.
Reviewing and interpreting contracts and tender documents.
Identifying potential cost savings and suggesting alternative solutions.
Ensuring estimates are submitted on time and in accordance with client requirements.
Providing support during the tendering process and assisting with bid preparation.
What We're Looking For: A relevant third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years' experience as an Estimator in the construction sector, ideally with exposure to medical or healthcare projects.
Strong knowledge of cost estimating principles and practices.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
A confident and proactive approach to estimating with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
